You know, like at least good 100 miles away from this toxic city. Not to mention I hate the climate here: the horrible humidity all year long + the horrible heat combined with humidity in the summer. It's like living **** on earth, not kidding at all. I love dry and cooler climates! Don't mind cold winters at all - I'd rather put up with cold winters than be in a humid climate all year long. Besides I LOVE SNOW!
You can move here. You can see for miles and miles because there isn't to block your view. lol And we have all the snow in the winter you could ever want. The only thing I would have to worn you about is the mosquitoes in the summer.

LOL Lived in TToronto in the early 70' and the late 80's and moved to the prairies. remembering having to shower 4 times in a day because of the humidity, morning/lunch/got home/before bed. The smog looming over the city was a little scary. Miss Kensington market and some other nice stuff but my health improved when I left

Yes tom those horrid things that block your view are called mountains, pretty things actually. We have lots of them out in BC hehe.

Mr. Waxhead, don't mention the word "mountains" !!! You're making me want to move out of NY right now, lol. I LOVE mountains, and forests and the like It's so sad with respect to NY weather and the horrible smog over the city; the smog is in the areas surrounding the city as well Neil, I am 100% sure that NY weather is making A LOT of people very sick here. I am actually worried about my own health living here too (another reason I want to move out as soon as possible). Tom, it must be wonderful being able to have a view for miles and miles out of your window, or from the top of some hill. You're right, you CAN'T do that in NYC and areas surrounding NYC. I live in an immediate NYC suburb. And Tom, I'd be more than willing to substitute mosquitoes for humidity! You'd have to live in the middle of NYC for a while, especially during the summer, to really feel what the weather here is like. After one such summer, you'd be screaming "I want my mosquitoes back!" Seriously ...

You guys are all so lucky. I can't wait until I move out too! Somewhere in the mountains/forests in Colorado, Montana, or Canada would be certainly my dream! Somewhere dry and never humid ... ahh ... Only I'd probably not be able to find a job in my profession in the middle of the mountains or forests, lol. I wouldn't want to drive 1.5-3 hours one way to work! I have friends who live Upstate NY and have to drive for 1.5-2 hours just ONE WAY to work in the city! They have virtually no lives time-wise. I could probably move right now further away like my friends Upstate, but the long commute to work is the reason why I can't move out. Two hours just one way (4 hours a day) is a total waste of time for me, I couldn't do that. I want to actually find a job FIRST somewhere near where I want to live, and only then move out. But the problem always is, there are few jobs away from cities

P.S. Regarding mosquitoes, anybody ever heard "The Mosquito Song"? LOL

The mountains.. and the pollution..

So is that why the state of NY is moving to florida?

Denver is right against the foothills of the Rockies but there are days you can't see the mountains for the pollution layer. hopefully you'll be able to see them when you come this way.

Ya, but I'm in the prairies and in the middle of the prairies too, so it is kind of hard to see a mountain from here, only because the long distance makes them look really small. lol
