Angelfish Pictures

Hello Everyone

I finally managed to take a not-so-bad shot of my golden pearly veiltail Angelfish, so I am posting it here for you.

I am also posting some pictures of 2 Angelfish that I have raised myself from babies (there were a total of 11, 9 of which I gave away). One is a veiltail and the other is a regular one. They are a mix between a gold pearly veiltail Angel and a blue blushing Angel.

Carol, if you're reading this, these are the pictures I promised you

P.S. I am posting them in large size ... hopefully they'll upload.

Those are very beautiful. I saw some that size at one of the stores, but they were over $20 each and I didn't feel like spending that much on an angel right now.

Thank you, but ... there are no live plants in the 30 gallon tank at this time (just fake plants overrun by black hair algae!) Unless you're talking about the 75 gallon planted tank

Nicole, I love your Discus as well. Have seen the pictures in the Discus section. Looking great Discus are such beautiful fish and much more difficult to breed and maintain than most freshwater aquarium fish.

Re: Angelfish Pictures

Hi Isabella
I love your photos.. they really came out super! is that angel called a spotted leopard? Or is it considered a Koi? Really beautiful regardless of what they are.
the LPS has some beauties there, one that is all white with spots of orange, that I really love. But I have a pair now and its hard to say if any additions would get along, so since I dont want to make any waves.. ( no pun intended)..guess I have to stick with the pair I have.
Seeing your Angels make me want to try more tho... sigh...

They're a mix between a Blue Blushing Angel and a Gold Veiltail Pearly Angel. Although generally they look like neither of the parents, lol , they do have certain characteristics from both parents; for example: some had veil tails like the father, all have red eyes from the father plus a black stripe accros the eyes from the mother, all have reddish color over their heads, some black coloring on the fins from the mother, and finally, they all have stripes or half/stripes looking like spots over their bodies from the mother. I really have no idea what became of them, lol, but I like the way they look

I think I like their eyes best, hehe. Love the red color with the black stripe over it

The Angel other than the Gold Veiltail Pearly one, in the post about the recent pictures of my 75 gallon tank, is actually the Blue Blushing one.

I don't have better quality pictures of it yet. If I manage to get a good shot, I'll post it

Actually, the father doesn't have red eyes! I wonder where they got that from? Maybe from their grandparents? LOL Both of the parents must have equally strong (or week) genes since none of the parents' features are dominant in any of the babies. Maybe one of the grandparents had very strong genes and this is where the red eyes come from?

Or, is it possible that they got the red color in their eyes from the red color on the father's head? Heh

Re: Angelfish Pictures

Isabella thank you for posting baby pictures. They are such gorgeous babies. I know their not still baby babies but they will always be your babies.
The red eyes could have come from anywhere in their back ground. Angels are really good at throwing characteristics from genes back in their history.
