aaah yes you have african cichlids vary vary aggressive fish. make sure you have plenty of hiding, ph lvl at 7.6-8.2 water temp between 78-80f, for every one male there should be 3 females. if you have any questions ask away i have cichlids in my tank its great.
The first 3 pics are definately Cichlids. The third pic (blue with vertical stripes) is a female African Kenyi. I have a male and female Kenyi in my tank. They are very cool fish. Can be a bit aggressive but very neat fish.
Glad to help. I just posted some pics of my tank and my Kenyi's last night. If you take a look, you'll see that the Blue colored Kenyi in my third pic is strikingly familiar to yours. Beautiful fish.
The African Kenyi's were very inexpensive. I paid around $8 each for them at my LFS. They really are beautiful fish and they're fun to watch. They are agressive, however. But not to the point where they have done any physical harm to any of my other fish. My Krib pretty much stays in a small corner area of the tank. My two Rosy's are pretty "carefree" and get along just fine. My Algae Eater and Cory Cat are also unaffected. Everyone in the tank however, knows who's in charge...the male Kenyi. His name is "Speedy". My son named the Kenyi's Speedy (male/yellow) and Maria (Female/blue). I originally had 2 females..."JoJo" was a much smaller female and didn't survive but about 3 weeks in the tank. I think it was due to alot of stress...mainly from Maria. By the time I began to notice something wasn't right, it was too late. She was actually a very beautiful fish with a much deeper blue color.. I sort of took a gamble on these fish given their aggressive nature, but for the most part, all has turned out well. Everyone seems to get along OK.

Hi, simpleton. I thought the third pic was a frontosa. Hope woodworm wouldnt mind if i post my frontosas just for purposes of comparison. Here it is...
Nice pics of the Frontosas. Woodworm's fish looks more like the Kenyi to me. Note the differences in the fin color. Much more distinguished on the Frontosa. The black vertical striping on the Frontosa goes through the eyes...not on the Kenyi. Also, the dorsal fin on the Kenyi has the continuation of the black vertical stripes. Nonetheless, both are very beautiful fish.

Thanks simpleton! Now, I know the difference between a kenyi and a frontosa! But one thing for sure, both are cichlids.
