I saw a lots of Koy fish, in door pawns...out door pawns, in the restruant, in the mall, i mean they're just everywhere. I was amused by their size.




I hadn't seen Koy fish this size since China,I guess I either didn't travel enough here in California or Koy fish just don't get that big here.

I read an article about swortails actually living in the lakes and streams that flowed through Hawii. The article was quite interesting.

yea, it's a great environment for koi and a lot of cultural influence towards raising them like that there.

i guess keeping koy fish is kind of a good luck thing, makes you feel you're welcome. its kinda hard to explain lol.

They can be very long-lived too from what i've read.. like those 100+ or 200+ year old ones in Japan.
