I wanted to thank everyone for their advice on Freshwater and answering my questions as on a possible Saltwater tank. I think I've decided to hold off on the saltwater tank for now and use the space to give a bigger 75 gallon home to my beloved angel Flo and her partner in crime Ronnie.

So I'm doing my research and learning about canister filters (I've always used power filters) Ways to lower Ph and soften water bc our tap water is very hard, I've also been looking into the RO units. The price tag on this tank keeps getting higher and higher! Maybe by the end of the summer I'll have it up and running. My mom also mentioned to me that I would probably want to wait until after hurricane season to get it going anyway, and believe me, the thought has crossed my mind. During Katrina we were gone for a month and I came very pleasantly surprised to see my angel and blackskirt still hanging in there. Tough guys!
