African Butterfly Fish

Could I keep a butterfly fish with a larger top dwelling fish like a needle nose gar?

i personally wouldnt anything i ever read about african butterfly says dont put them with anything that will nip at its feelers

I would not keep anything that stays on the surface with a gar.

They are top water feeders and will strike at anything they see on the surface.
