What fish can live with a black ghost knife fish?

I have a 55gallon tank with a large black ghost knife fish. He seems to have killed off all my mollies and all but one platy. I'm not sure what kind of fish I can add because he keeps killing them all. I also had glass fish, but they are all gone. I have one large snail, an upside down bottom feeder, a ghost shrimp and a 6inch long bottom feeder. I would like to have some fish swimming around in my tank and if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks in advance

Welcome to the site.

Not many, once the tank is dark they will eat anyother fish they can fit in their mouth.

I would recommend first getting your BGK a larger tank, at least a 75.
Then, I'd suggest cichlids - Cons, Firemouths, etc.
I'm contemplating keeping one in my 150 with my Oscars.
Do you have any pics?

I agree with Amanda. CA/SA cichlids would work well (Jack Dempsey, Convict, Firemouth, Oscar, Nics, Severum, Uaru, etc). If you have any pics I would love to see them Its hard to find a BGK that is a good size.

Ok thanks for the advice. I actually have someone who is giving us a 100+ gallon tank (not sure how large it is). They just don't want it anymore....crazy right?? So we will just have to move the BGK to that one. I will try to post some pics tomorrow.
