I have 2 african butterflys and was wondering if i could feed them ants... I have heard about crickets... buttt the butterflys are a bit too tiny for crickets. I'm worried about the and living and stinging the butterflys from the inside... or would this not be a problem?

It shouldn't be a problem. Crickets are capable of biting, too, and they don't seem to bother the fish.
However, make absolutely sure any ants you get come from an area that hasn't been treated with pesticides or herbicides.
Also, know that any wild-caught food carries a risk of a variety of problems, from infection to introduction of toxins (some ants are poisonous to eat) to introduction of parasites.

ok thanks for the heads up... i think im just going to try to get my crickets to spawn and take their babies... i feel evil though...
