Cory in hiding?

So one of my 4 new cories was no where to be seen this morning. I looked for about 10-15 minutes as I ate breakfast. It is a planted tank, so there are a lot of spots I cant see, but I feel like I would have seen it at some point.

The tank has a tight lid, and it is too big of a fish to be eaten or to be sucked up the filter. Anyone ever have a fish vanish on them?

All the time. The tropical community tanks seem to be the worst as far as fish playing "hide-and-seek". I tear up the tank twice a week to find the clown pleco just to make sure he's alive.

The more hiding spots, the better for the fish, but the worse for us

Yeah, yesterday I pulled out all of my plastic plants and went fully planted.

2 very small amazon swords
1 small anubias nana
2 medium Cryptocoryne Lutea
1 medium ceratopteris thalictroides
1 medium rubin sword
and then I have two other medium sized sword plants that are unidentified. I think one might be a melon sword?

Anyway, the fish seem to really like the live plants. They spend much more time in and around the plants, laying out in the shade, etc. I guess as long as I dont see a dead fish floating he has to be in there somewhere.
