i moved my 3 adult platys to another tank tonight. after the move i sat to watch them to make sure they settled in alright. my female, Lily, that keeps having all the fry has a split in her tail!
did i do this with the net? will it heal? is there anything i can do to help her?
i hope i didnt hurt her

My male platy split his tail yesterday, and it healed up in a couple of hours. Just wait, and it will heal on its own.

Aw, who feels worse you or your fish? lol
Clean water, vita-chem, garlic guard and fish protector will help her tail heal.

Ive never had this problem in regular fish, but my common pleco had it before. It got a little red around the split and i used Jungle brand Fungus Clear fizz tabs. I didnt see any fungus but at the time my other fish had popeye and it was recomended. It worked great I only did 1 full dose. On day 2 you could see it starting to heal and by the end of med. dose it was totally healed. (the med turns your water green and after ur done u must do a water change)

there was no infection and it had closed up 24 hours later.
