I was looking at my fish today and noticed that my biggest neon tetra was missing the tip of its dorsel fin. Lately I have noticed that it hasent been swimming with the other neon tetras. should I wait and see what happens or do yall think something is wrong with it. Also one of my otocinclus has been hiding in the decorations. Ussually it likes to swim with my other oto. Do they just need time or do you think there is a bully in my tank.

hey sydney, my best guess is that he is the low guy on the hiarchy of your neon tetras. if he's not schooling with them and he has part of his dorsal fin missing he probley got bullied a little too much

well should i take him out of the tank and get some more neons for him to school with

Good morning. Sorry to hear your Neon is having fin issues. In my opinion I would leave him where he is as long as he isn't being bullied any longer. Moving him may cause him to get even more stressed. There isn't much we can do about missing fins. You could add some Nova Aqua + or whatever you have on hand that you use for a stress reliever/slime coating. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.
