I've got three Boesmani rainbows and their color seems to change. Is this normal? Sometimes they will have irregular black bands on their sides. Other times, they will be a pure purple to yellow gradation with no black bands. sometimes i think this may relate to whether they've been fed recently, but not necessarily.

anybody observed this?

Hi there,
the black bands can possibly be due to any stress. They do color up as they mature too. Ive had boesmani before, but dont remember the black bands... I do remember them coloring up with the yellow and bluish coloring tho... They are a great fish!
