I am new at this, just got my first 3 Corydora Catfish. I acclimated them for 45 minutes, they seem to be extremely shy. All the other fish are pretty much ignoring them with the exception of a 1 inch platy that is continuously checking them out.

Is this a normal reaction for a cory?

congrats that's fairly normal considering they were just added. give them a few days to get adjusted and they should be much more active

Thank you. I was really getting worried. I watched them at the LFS and they were with German Blue Rams and seemed really active and oblivous to the rams, now they seem like they would jump at their shadow. Currently all 3 are in hiding...but on the bright side I can see the Platy who seems to have lost interest in them.

yeah, i'd definitely just see how they're doing in a couple of days, unless they're sick they should be back to normal

I will keep a close eye on them. They are fascinating little fish and I am really excited about the addition.
