red tailed botia?????

I just got a red tailed botia to help with my snail problem. It is so cute swimming around. My question is........ do they like to lay sideways and play dead like I he=ave read the clown loaches do? Do they like a strong current or no current?? Just want to make sure it is doing ok.. Having a hard time finding info on it.. Thanks.... Also got 3 new angels, going to try again. this time all are in a quarintine tank for a good 2 weeks....

Re: red tailed botia?????

Hiding places are one of the major concerns for keeping any botia.
Curent does not seem to matter to any I have kept.

And, yes, they play dead.

Try looking for info on Botia lecontei. This is the species or one closely related to the fish you have.
