Just got a new 250 gal. tank. I'm going to make this my show tank and I need suggestions of what to put in it. I want this to look pretty cool so I want to mix it up with some cool fish. I need some suggestions on what I should consider to put in, scavangers, algea, the whole kit and kabutal.

You're gonna have to tell us more about what you like. You could have gobs of smaller fish, or just a few larger fish. An african cichlid tank of that size would be very colorful, but would it be what you really wanted? Please give us more clues on what you are looking for.
I have an Oscar, Jack Dempsey that will be moved in there. What would go well with them including, scavanders and algea eaters. Would an Eel be alright in there and if so what kind.
Your tank is one of the few that would happily house a common pleco.* It will have to be a good size when you add it to the tank though or the oscar and/or JD will terrorize it or try to eat it.* A royal pleco would be very cool in that tank, but you will have to have driftwood for it to rasp on.* They need the wood in their diet.* There are many beautiful plecos you could put in that tank.* I think once you decided on your pleco, some really cool catfish for the bottom would be nice.* Pictis catfish would be interesting I think, but I'm not all that clear on their requirements.* You definately need to go over and drool on planet catfish for awhile.
