65g

In may, I will be purchasing a new 65g tank. In the tank i would like to get either have a pair of Jack Dempseys, green terrors, an African cichlids community tank, or a fire mouth cichlides tank. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas in which fish I should get. Oh and by the way i would to breed the fish in the tank.

With the Jack Dempseys I think you might be pushing it, green terrors no, fire mouths I'd think you'd be ok and a african community would be great.

Re: 65g

If you set it up for a Malawi tank that'd be great - there are so many colors to pick you'll probably have a hard time at the store! Since they are very territorial you should overstock since they will be much less able to get their own territory or pick on a single fish. You could put quite a few in - then get some Synondontis for the bottom! Synondontis Eupterus are very pretty and probably at your local WalMart. Feel free to message me if you do set it up for African Cichlids

Re: 65g

I agree that the jack dempseys and green terrors would be out. The firemouths would be very happy in that size tank, and it's a good size for african cichlids as well. Here's a link for some cookie cutter set ups for you to think about:
