hmmm.. what to do...

Ok... so I have the 30 gal hex. It was SUPPOSED to be for angel fish.. but I *ahem* went and moved my pleco, bumblebee cat, and two blue longfin zebra danio's over to it. I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to add a juvenile angel fish to the mix, but I am aware that they can be agressive. I've also heard that they CAN if raised with other fish live together peacefully. I'll set the 12gal back up as a guarenteen tank/back up tank in the event that they don't get along... but I'm just looking for others experience with mixing angels with other fish.

SO... stories please!!!!

I know a lot of folks on here have or have had angels. Please Share!!!

I have always had good luck with having just one Angel in a tank. I've not had a tank bigger than the 30gal/tall I have had running well for 4 years. I started it with an juvie Angel, about the size of a dime, along with other community fish, and all was great. Angel was the tank "Boss" but she never got evil. She grew to about the size of a Oreo cookie (maybe a little bigger) and I had her for over 3 years. Enjoy your new hex, I bet it will be great

You can keep them till they get about 3 to 4 inches. After that you'l have to watch and see how they behave. If they start fighting, wanting to pair they, will in all probability get aggressive toward the other fish. If it doest work out you can maybe swap them for younger ones again or other fish. Worth a try in my opinion
edit: dont get a black angel, they do not make good community fish.

Hi!

Whatever you do - you'll need a new bigger home for both Cats. Asian BumbleBees can grow to about 10inches an eat anything that fits in their mouth! And plecos can get really big... I'd say about 30in.
