help, my cardinal tetras are dying/dead

new to this fish game, had tank since sept 09, its a biorb rectangle tank.
come back from a night away, 3 tetras are dead, 1 is dying. its swimming upside down & spinning around & its mouth is opening & closing very fast. all other fish look fine & the last tetra is swimming around ok. 13 fish in total 60L tank. all tests are as normal. 25C temp amonia 0.1, nitrite 0.1, pH 8 & nitrate 50. these have been constant since ive had the tank, any ideas what i should do? thanks

welcome to fishlore!
im sorry for the losses
your tank isnt normal though....you should have 0 for ammonia/nitrites and under 20 nitrates..so they are dieing of a bunch of different poisions ......if you read this link, http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/aq...ling-fish.html and get one of these with daily water changes, you may be able to save the rest !! I hope things look up soon!!!

edit: heres a link also on the cycle process in which your tank NEEDS to go through http://www.fishlore.com/NitrogenCycle.htm

Welcome to FishLore!!
I'm sorry about your fish
Cardinal are pretty sensitive to water conditions. What else and how many are in the tank?

hi lucy we now have 6 male guppys, 2 rosy barbs, 3 danios and 3 rummey nose tetras which makes 14 all those look to be fine and swimming normally, the last tetra seems to have a slight white patch at the top and to of slightly lost some colour?

Getting the cycle in order with daily water changes as Shawnie suggested is great advice!
Best of luck
