Ok, I can't get a picture because the objects in question are too small to show up on our camera.
I was looking at our fish today (crazy idea, right?) and one had a few spots. My initial thought was
ICH, but after looking closer I'm not so sure. There are 2, maybe 3, two near his lip (male molly) and one that may or may not be a spot on the dorsal fin. It looks like there is a perfectly symmetrical spot on the other side.
I was about to chalk it up to the fungal infections that have plauged our mollies since the first one gave birth, but then, while looking for another one of our fish, I noticed a number of dots, kinda look like grains of sand, on the underside of our pot and a few on the underside of the leaved of plants. I read through the article about ich here, and it made it sound like the placement of these spot would make ich unlikely.
There are 2 female cories, and so I thought they might be new eggs, but then I saw a number of what look to be the same little grains free in the water. We rounded up the inverts and bumped up the temp, so we are ready to start and ich treatment.
Could this be ich?
