Hi guys and gals any one have this happen. I got a call from my LFS to let me know they recieved some Banded Kuli Loaches in. I have been waiting for 2 years to find them and was out of town so my GF went bought them put them into the tank( I trust her to do it right) got 4 in 2 days 2 where dead an by the 7th day all where dead. called the LFS and they said all of them at the store where dead too. There going to take care of me on the losted fish but I what banded kuli's. I live in Ohio the water per. of my tank are 0 amoina,0 nitrites,10 nitrates fully planted close to perfect still don't know why they died.

Probably stress from shipping before they arrived at the store. MANY fish die during transportation. Its sad

They looked great when they went into the tank my GF sent me a pic on my cell...but when I got home all where died.

Great News! I thought all 4 had died. For some reason one that I had lost was 1 of 5 black kuli's wierd they all where in perfect health. I found one banded still alive today in the overflow an put him back in the tank keeping my fingers crossed hopeing he makes it.

sorry for the loss of the others
either shipping stress or pH shock might be my guess.....
whenever I buy new fish now, I bring my test tube with me to test the tanks ph where I buy them....that way I can compare to my ph and acclimate appropriately depending on the differences.....ph as long as stable, can vary for most fish but a fast change in either direction, can be terminal.....hope things continue to get better!!!
