Pleas Please Help Me. (FIN ROT) Thanks

Hey.
Really concerned over my platy . At first I thought she maybe had ICH, but her fin has a chunk missing?.. please see pics and recommend.

How do I treat this? Dod I need to go LFS and buy a med?

The pics are blurry but it does look like finrot. The most common cause is poor water quality. Do you know your readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?

I see that you are using Stress Zyme. That's not the best stuff to use due to it contains the wrong kind of bacteria. That's why you have to keep adding it weekly or whatever the directions say. lol

Yeah lol. Im stopping using it. going to switch to TSS. How do I treat the finrot?

Doing daily partial water changes to keep the water clean. You can add Melafix after each water change. That will help.

is this the tank with 4 ammonia and tss? if so, id definately start water changes with prime..

The fin rot was a few week or so ago. its clearning up now. But do you still recommend water changes.

Using TSS - How to know when cycled after reading that thread of yours, yes I would do water changes...the fact that you added/removed/changed around your stocking in between adding tss, seems to have effected it....4ppm for ammonia is way to high when using tss...
