i am very alarmed...
i saw my raphael catfish...who is usually hiding in some coral i have in the tank..
floating upisde down...as if dead...i actually was convinced he was dead so i went to take him out...but he moved when i put the net in to get him out...he swam and went to hide beneath the filter....
what could be wrong with him
all the other fish in the tank are fine (4 gobies, 2 cichlids)

I'm sorry you're worried about your catfish

I don't think your tank info is the same as the one you're talking about.... Could you please list the water params, tank size, etc. so we can have a better idea what may be going on.

Hello JohnLoveDay. Once you post your readings as requested by Ilovee we'll be able to help you more. Too, sometimes fish will relax upside down, sideways. My Bloody Parrots have scared me before by sleeping completely sideways and Butterfly's Clown Loaches have scared her before by sleeping in odd positions. Let's hope this is the case for your catfish as well.

i will get a test kit tomorrow and let u know..
i am bit more relaxed because the catfish seems better now...he swam and is not upside down anymore... i noticed something that looks like a fungus on its mouth...i "treated" him by putting some tap water conditioner by aqua plus on the fungus...this is what they recommended at the fish store rather than adding medication...i will update tomorrow to see if u can help me figure it out..and ill post the readings hopefully as well

unfortunately i dould not find an appropiate test kit...the catfish has been hiding...so i havent seen him..
