In the morning, my red tail shark was swimming happily around. When I came home from work, she was dead, floating upside down, and pale. I had just done a 20% water change last week... the water is 0-0-15. Tankmates are mostly assorted rainbow fish and pleasant. The RTS was probably the most dominant fish in the tank, and delighted in chasing the others around in a non-malicious manner. She was little when we bought her about 6 months ago (so she is not particularly old), and she has grown to nearly 4 inches long (seems to have been eating well - though I don't often see her eat).
Any ideas?

Jeeze, I'm sorry about your rts that's awful!

Are your other fish showing any signs of illness or unusual behavior? Temperature steady? pH suddenly drop? I'm sorry I don't have an answer Jenn, but I hope everyone else is okay and hopefully someone will have a better idea what happened.

Hello Jenn. Sorry to hear you lost your RTS. Do you ever see any aggression from your Rainbows? I had some Rainbows a while back and they would chase my Silver Dollars all over the place.

The water perameters have been steady. The other fish appear to be healthy (3 days later now). The rainbows are pretty mellow. The RTS often chased them around, but it never really seemed to be very intense... just sort of pushed them out of her way when she was swimming about.
