| is my angel sick? ive noticed lately that one of my angels seems very thin in comparison to my other angel. they are both in the same tank (29g) but only one seems to be thin.
no matter what i feed them, both angels gobble up anything they are given and both eat about the same amount. one angel is getting quite big, but i cant get the other to gain some weight.
should i be worried? |

| I am no Angelfish expert but from your aquarium info your 29g seems too crowded. You need a bigger tank for the Angelfish. Maybe they're stressed. I am sure some other members with more experience will reply to this. |

| your right, it was overstocked. i rehomed one of the angels so there are only two in the 29g now. i just updated that info. |

| But you still have all the other fish in that tank. I will let someone more experience to give you a definitive answer on stocking limit and appropriate tank size for your angels. |

| the angel in question is facing the camera in the first picture, hes the one with the bent fin in the second picture. the bent fin was a birth defect. |

| wow is that a 29g long tank? the pics of the angels fins and the top/bottom of the tank are almost touching ...as far as being more skinny, they both look normal to me and different breeds of angels, definitely have different shapes as they mature.... |

| I agree with Shawnie. But if it's not that, it could be an internal parasite problem. But I just hope it's nothing. Please keep us updated. Good luck! |

| i dont think the tank is a 'long' variety, its right beside my 55g, with the bottoms being about the same the top of the 29g is about an inch lower than the top of the 55g. the light colored angel is very big, with fins spread it can easily touch the substrate and the surface of the water, thats counting his feelers, which are thick like ropes!
maybe ill pick up some of those Jungle parasite tablets, from reading the description it shouldnt hurt anything in the tank other than my single ghost shrimp. |

| i dont think they have parasites...they are acting normal and eating as you described in your OP ...that tank is just too small for their amazing finnage and looks like stunting growth is happening please dont medicate them
no angel should be able to touch bottom to top and if they are that amazingly big, (lucky you!) its time for an upgrade to a taller type tank |

| My 30 long is 17" tall. Do angels get that tall? How tall is your tank, or all dimensions? Are you sure thats not a 20 long?
I hope you're baby isn't ill and it's what Shawnie said, just different types. They're beautiful for sure. |
