fungus - what to do?

I have just noticed fungus on a couple of blue rams I just got. They are juveniles. Right now it's just a tiny little cottony spot on ones side and ones top fin. And now I have noticed what might be some on a neon tetras tail. I have never had fungus in my aquarium before.

What is the best medication?
Should I treat the whole tank or quarantine them to treat?

Thanks so much!

id see if you can get a pic first to find out if thats what it really is before medicating...some other questions that could help diagnose are.....what are your tank parimeters? size? stock? how long has it been running? what do you use for chemicals if any? (sorry for the questions but if you fill in your aquarium information under my settings, they wouldnt need to be asked )

Hello Jmm. Here is a link that you may find helpful in diagnosing the problem. There are GRAPHIC photos of fish disease so prepare yourself:
JBL - Online Hospital
Are you sure it isn't ICH?
Best wishes!

Thanks! those were good pics. It is definitely bacterial. I have them quarentined, but all I could find was melafix. Is that ok for this type of thing?

Hello Jmm. Glad you found the link helpful. Melafix should help the problem, too it's all natural and not a medication. Here is a link on Pimafix and Melafix.

The only warning I've seen on Melafix is not to use it on labyrinth (bettas, gouramis) fish.
Best of luck.

Finally got some half way decent pictures! Is it fungal or bacterial?

Thanks!
