Well, thanks to you marvelous-beyond-words folks here at fishlore, I think I may have turned the tide in the battle against an
ICH infestation. I'm not ready to declare the war over, so to speak, but it's looking good.
Lily and Oto are now spot-free, and Lily seems to have returned to her normal coloration. She is still chasing her reflection, but I don't believe that was the major cause of her stress, as she is doing it now without the stripes. Actually, she shower her own reflection vertical bars last night O_O I think I may have the most narcissistic (or angry) girlie
betta in the world!
I will keep up the treatment for at least one more week, if not two. Gotta be sure of it
I would also like to take this chance to advocate natural methods of treatment verses medicating straight away. I did not use a single drop of medicine with this illness, and the fish are recovering. Simply using higher temps and pristine water conditions seems to do the trick!
