What is hanging out of my Platy

Hi there, wondering if anyone can tell me what is hanging out of my female RED WAG PLATY. We noticed it almost 2 days ago. It still looks the same. I did suspect she was pregnant as she had been looking very fat. Now her belly looks looks thinner again. The mass is roundish and orange colored, kinda bumpy. Almost looks like her insides coming out. I saw a post somewhere about a tumor? Otherwise she appears fine, eating fine and still pooping. At first I thought it was a baby or an egg she was aborting? but looks too big and not what I would think either should look like and why is it still hanging there? I also have a male Mickey Mouse Platy that we bought with her a couple months ago and we just added a female Dalmatian Molly about a week ago. They all get along. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi j9byer welcome to FishLore
I'm sorry your fish is worrying you.
Is it possible to post a pic?
It sounds like it may be a prolapse, but that's just a guess.

Hum...Actually told my husband this morn that perhaps it is a prolapse. We're not advanced with fish knowledge but our 4 year old daughter actually had a prolapse problem when she was 2. Maybe it runs in our family? Ha, ha. Yes, just battling with the baby now but will post pic asap. Thank you.

I'm moving you're thread to the disease section of the forum (although this is not a disease, but still a sick fish)

You might want to consider moving her to a q tank so she doesnt get picked on.
Keep the water pristine to try and help prevent infection.
If it's a prolapse, sometimes it will fix it's self, sometimes not.

Hello J9 and Welcome to Fish Lore. Sorry to hear your Platy isn't feeling up to par. Best wishes and I hope the problem corrects itself.
