Urgent help needed!

Ok I had a breakout of ICH recently and I was told that it could not live in temperatures of 82.5 degrees. I brought it up to 85 and then went on vacation this past weekend. I got back and it accidentally climbed to 90 degrees . Anyways I wend on to lower the temperature back to 85 however after 4 days of treatment now there are no sins of the ich backing off... In fact it seems it has gotten worse.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Also because of my stock I won't use salt.

I would also like to note that only ONE cardinal has ich out of 7. he also has the symptom of lightening of colors (compared to the rest). Also he plays with the rest as if he weren't sick (and i'd like to keep it that way please help)

how long have you had the higher temps? if only 4 days, you need to leave it for 2 weeks ..doing gravel vacs 2 times a week.....the stress the fish were under from fluctuating temps, has left them more stressed and more susceptible to ich ...the temps took time to raise, but lowering it so fast probably has them a little skittish again.make sure you have extra airation in the tank

Hello IlikeFish. Sorry to hear you're dealing with the dreaded ICH. I agree with Shawnie. Sometimes it's going to get worse before it gets better. I try to not recommend medications because of the risk of losing the fish and cycle at the same time. Not to mention the fact that some has been labled to cause cancer in the state of CA. Odd.
Best wishes!
Ken
