What's wrong with my rainbow fish??

Please help..........I am not sure what to do about one of my 2 bosemani rainbows who has some sort of a legion I am finding hard to ID. See pics.
He has been this way for a few weeks - and seems completely fine in behaviour and everything else. All other fish in the tank are fine and living the dream , all except this one .

Tank perameters looking good, too;-

pH: 7.0
Nirite / ammonia: zero
nitrate: 7.0

I've checked out all kinds of meds and none seem to fit these symptoms. Besides, if it was anything serious - either others will have got it, or he'd be dead or ailing in other ways by now, no

Can anyone help

Looks like he got on a fight or he got caught on something. I has happend on some of my Africans. Just try to have very clean water and you can put some stress coat or prime. Also there is Pimafix I don't like to use it a lot cuz I don't like the smell. Gives me headaches. Is just too strong but is not a bad smell.

Thanks. I have never used Pimafix before - but will give it a try. I've just bought a 6 gallon tank to use as a QT / hospital tank - maybe I should move him into that to treat him?
It won't be cycled, but if I do daily water changes - that would be OK I guess??

Yes that would be ok. Get a piece of your filter media from the other tank or a handful of your gravel from the other tank in a mesh bag or a piece of pantyhose and hang it in middle water to help cycle your qt tank faster. Try not to put any gravel on your qt tank that way is easier to clean whenever you need to disinfect the tank to store it that way the next fish u put there won't get contaminated with more stuff. Keep at least a bag of filter media stored in the old tank always ready for situations like this. Best of Luck.
