Help: my glowlights have white spot!!

My tank consists of 14 glowlights, 3 clown loaches and 1 angel fish. I turned the temperature up to 30 degrees celcius. What else should I do? 3 of my glowlights have it so far...

Agreed. Turn the temperature to 85(F) degrees and leave it there for 2 weeks. Vacuum the gravel to remove any spores that fall off of the fish and into the gravel/substrate. With temperatures this high additional air supply is recommended as warmer water needs more oxygen. Best of luck for a full recovery!

Ich cannot survive in temperatures OVER 82 degrees.

Also a teaspoon of aquarium salt would never hurt.

Atkinson, personally I would not add the salt with Clown Loaches.

Thats what I was thinking. I will try regular wc and gravel vacs as well as higher heat and extra air stone.

How would I know if the ich is getting worse or better? How long will the fish have spots? It has been 2 days and no change, for better or worse.

Ich has three stages of a lifecycle and takes 2-3 weeks. So continue the high temp for 2 weeks or more and do gravel vacs. I hope all goes well.

Previously my neon tetras got it and died within 36hours. My fish arent looking better or worse and its been 5 days now. None have died yet. Is that a good sign?
