it certainly wont hurt, but I dont think it will be enough for your 38g....again, the 100ml is for up to 30 gals....add the entire bottle after shaking it well and rince the bottle in the tank also...I hope things work out for you!!!! if the molly is already ill, she make not make it even with the tss but Ill be saying extra fishy prayers for her!

ok thanks for the help. fingers crossed he survives

Well i got home he is still alive and swimming thankfully!!!

I have done the water change 40%, added the whole bottle of safestart and some stress coat, all seem fine even the baby, no spots on anyone else. Molly is staying close to the heater (of which im still increasing temp slowly to 85).

test results- ammonia= 0
Nitrites= 0
Nitrates=50 approx
pH= 7.2
hardness= 8d
will test again in morning.

im not saying it wont work, and you look cycled according to your readings, but TSS should be added 24 hours after your tap conditioner...that seems to be the best result without any bacteria being compromised ..you are on the right track and again, doing the water changes probably has made a huge difference for your molly baby

Well my new filter turned up today i now have a fluval4+ have put it in the tank but kept the old one in for now until the new one builds up some beneficial bacteria. On a sadder note, even tho my molly has been looking better each day, when i came home this evening i found he had died
