Urgent - camallanus treatment in Canada

Hi all,
I breed guppies in an amateur way. I have an adult tank 46 gal, a nursery tank 20gal and a maternity tank 10gal. All the water readings, pH etc are good in all of them. I have a huge problem though - worms in my maternity tank. I have tried assorted remedies that had little effect. I have lost 2 moms so far and four more are so bad that the worms have eaten holes in their bellies. One of them was pooping out a hole that wasn't its anus today!

On line research has come up with Levamisole as a possible solution. Does anyone know a supplier that operates in or ships to Canada?

Also, are fry born to infected moms also infected? I remove them to the fry tank within a couple of hours of birth.

Thanks for your speedy reply, Cuda

I'm so sorry to hear you have to deal with this. I had the worms in a dwarf gourami recently. I have found the best option is to go through a veterinarian, they can give you the drugs needed, which aren't available without a vet's prescription here in Canada. Personally I would not mail order a medication; I'd consult a doctor. This thread explains what happened to my fish and what I tried to do about it. I did not have any luck eradicating the worms myself. A separate incident unfortunately wiped out those fish recently. I hope you will have better luck than I did.
