Angelfish- sides look bald

Now my angelfish is dieing. My betta just died in a different tank from bloat, but there is a possiblity that I may have cross contaminated the tank. But it doesnt look like she has bloat. I dont think she will be alive in the morning but has anyone ever seen what looks like bald spots from the middle of the body going to the base of the tail on both sides? It looks like someone rubbed the shiney silver and black off her body... but this litteraly happened over a 12 hour period... she wasnt like that this morning. Maybe she has just lost her color because she's sick, but why so suddenly? She is laying at the bottom of the tank now, she was in her normal spot this morning. No new fish and everything tests normal (chemical wise). Just want to know why she's dieing. But I dont think there is anything I can do... she looks like she wont make it through the night. thanks for any guesses

I'm sorry your angel isn't doing well and equally sorry I don't know enough about them to give you any advice.

Any decorations she could have gotten caught in?

I understand... thinking about last night and this morning, I am fairly certain it's the same thing the betta got but she is just not bloating up and is instead losing scales around the base of her tail (its not fin rot, her fins are flowing and beautiful still) but she is behaving identically. I have her quarentined in a little 5 gallon I borrowed from a friend, treating her with Maracyn 2... hopefully the rams don't get it next.
