Does my Endler have fungus?

I was looking at my endler tank and I noticed that the largest female's left side fin was sticking out more than usual. After closer inspection I saw a white patch between her gill and fin. Is this fungus or maybe a parasite? What should I do?

She is acting fine aside from the white patch. She is eating as well. All the other endlers appear to be fine.

I don't have a quarantine tank. I can create a temporary one out of a 5 gallon bucket and a sponge filter. All I would need to buy is a heater. Would it be better to treat the whole tank? Before I run to the LFS, is there any medication I should get?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. .

BTW, my aquarium info is up to date if you need to know more about the tank.

Assuming it is fungal. Should I treat the tank or move her to a quarantine tank (bucket) and treat her there? What meds should I get to treat her? (Can you tell I am freaking out a little?)

If it is fungal i would suppose it would have to be treated with say more than water changes.I don't know your water conditions so i wonder what would have caused the fungus, could a nip from another fish have caused an opening to become infected ? i would suggest contacting jungle labs or API aquatci experts since fry is involved ! I know jungle labs tank buddies series is safe and gentle for plants and such, but no idea about the fry. Maybe osme one else will know for certain.

I received the fish via next day mail last week. My guess is that she suffered some damage during the trip. She was obviously stressed by the experience.

Thanks for the comments. I am testing my tank water now to make sure nothing has gone wrong with the bacteria.

UPDATE: I ran to the LFS to pick up a heater and to get their opinion. I showed them the same pics on my iPhone that I posted here. The consensus was that it was an injury, parasite or growth. They didn't think it was fungus. Their recommendation was a salt bath. They said if it is an injury or parasite that the salt should take care of it. If it is a growth, there isn't anything that can be done. Did they give me good advice?

I bought a 10 gallon tank, glass hood and heater. I set up the hospital tank with the stuff I just bought and an airstone. I added aquarium salt and PrazilPro (parasite med). I then moved her into it. I haven't moved the sponge filter to the new tank because when I test the tank earlier today I had a nitrite reading of 0.25 PPM. I am not sure why I had a nitrite reading but that is another problem. I just didn't feel comfortable removing filter media from my 29 gallon tank right now.

Will daily 50% water changes with Prime keep the ammonia under control in the hospital tank? Is there anything else I should be doing?

.

After finding the problem with my largest female I have been closely examining the other fish in the tank. I noticed one of my other female's tail fin has a white edge. There also are a couple of white spots/lines where the tail meets the body. Her behavior is normal and she is eating. I don't know if I am being paranoid or if this is a problem. I would appreciate any advice.

Here is a pic of her tail.

The female I posted pics of in the original post of this thread is unchanged. The salt bath doesn't seem to be doing any good. Her behavior is normal other than the white thing on her side. I am not sure what to do to help her.
