glowlite swimming funny...

little glowlite tetra, new guy.

swimming at a slight incline about 30 degrees (head elevated), and seems to be swimming mostly with his pectoral fins.

gills seem slightly flared out.

caudal fin isn't clamped down. he just seems like he is having trouble staying in one spot.

turned the flow down on my filters, and he still does it. just noticed it today.

levels are all good. any ideas?

Are these the params for the tank today

Quote:
ammonia: .25
nitrite: .25
nitrate: 8
If they are then the ammonia and Nitrite are the problems you need to be doing water changes to reduce these.

How many glowlights do you have? They are schooling fish so they should be in a group of 6 or more and if he is on his own then that will be stressing him out as well.

no. sorry. those aren't updated. i need to change those. i have 4 glowlites at present, don't wanna over load my biofilter and dump too many in at once.

the water levels are 0 0 9/10

Possibly swim bladder. that will cause the fish to swim funny.

kinda what i was thinkin, but not like some of the cases i've seen at the pet store. i'm keepin an eye on him, don't really wanna move him to quarantine if i can keep from it. just more stress on the fish, and me too.
