Danio with worm or parasite?

I have had a few Danio with bumps under their mouths. I thought it was from scraping on the rocks in my tank. Today took a picture with the bump and I can see that it is not loose skin drooping down.
At the end it is black. What is this?

I'm sorry your fish isn't feeling well. That is nasty! I'm not sure what the cause of that is! Sorry. Good luck!

I decided to kull all of the danios. Out of the bucket I could see all had a strange lump. The 1 in the picture had the biggest bulge. Uncertain if I will buy from that petstore again. Second time had fish from them that got sick. Probably due to new employees not taking care of the fish properly. Now got bacteria on other fish.

Aw, that's the pits. What does the bacteria look like on the other fish?

Their mouths are swollen and some have a large lower lip.

Well I thought if I kulled the danios I could save the other fish. For they were the first fish to start dieing. LFS said it was an injury so I ignored the deaths. After adding 10 fish in 2 weeks the disease bloomed. Got info from another forum that it was a bacteria disease. I quarantined all of the sick fish, total of 7, and medicated them with bacteria medicine. Unfortunately that didn't work. All of the sick fish died. It seems the mouths got eaten up by the bacteria.

Awwww, I am sorry you lost them. Hmmmm, it sounds like mouth rot. The main cause is bad water quality or injury. And if not treated it spreads. I believe that is what I read somewhere. So they probably had it when you brought them home from the lfs since most lfs don't take care of their fish too well.

I have had fin-rot and I have used Jungel Fungus Tank Buddies. It's also for mouth rot. Fin or mouth rot is eather fungul or bacteria infection. The Jungle tabs treat both. It works well.

Hmm

"Mouth fungus" -> Cotton -wool liek apperance on the jaws. Caused by Flexibacter bacteria. - Treatment : Often a sign of bad water conditions, use antibiotic or propriety remedy.

Could that be it?
