Ways of curing ich without treatment?

Ok, i was just wondering about all these ways people say you can cure white spot without using proper treatment, e.g, adding salt to the tank.

I was just wondering what all of these methods are and which ones work most effectively.

take the temp up to 30 for 2 weeks this kills the life cycle of ICH and has worked for me twice in different tanks, easy as that. just hold it there for the full 2 weeks so that the bug dies in the water even after spots have gone.

you may have to increase aeration in tank as higher temps reduce oxygen in water

good luck

Thank fully its in my 15G tank so its only the rams that are infected, i think they came home with it from the fish store.
Ive upped the temperature to 28, will they be able to tolerate 30?

Are they GBR's Ben? If so they'll be real sensitive to the water conditions. If you up the temp you will also need to do regular gravel vacs to remove the spores in the gravel. Good luck!
