unknown fish illness

I have a 55g tank with aprox 25 fish largest being silver dollars aprox 2.5 " long. I have noticed on a couple of the silver dollars what looks like open wounds. They are pinkish and vary from pin head size to 1/8" I thought it might be ick at first but they are not the typical white looking spots. any ideas??

some suggestions ammonia burns(mini cycle maybe?), rubbing/relaxing on the heater, being picked on by another fish? can you get a pic for the members?

Pics would help. But I think it could be an ammonia burn.

pictures of fish wounds

Here are some pictures. Hard to get the fish to stay still long enough to get a decent picture. After closer examination, I do see what looks like ick. I have been treating my tank for the last three days for ick, but since I have cory cats I have been only using 1/2 dose. I may have to go for another three days or longer. The fish don't seem to be stressed any and they eat like horses. Lots of fresh veg and frozen brine shrimp.

Do a 50% water change ASAP, any amount of ammonia is toxic

i'd do a water change anyways, but that doesn't look like an ammonia burn to me. it looks more like an injury....i'd check for any sharp objects in your tank

Very Concerned about my silver dollars and angel

I posted a couple days ago some pictures of what looked like wounds on a silver dollar. They also have some fin rott. I asked my local fish store person and they suggested Maracyn. Treats fin rot, tail rot, popeye, and body fungus. Have treated for three day of the 5 day treatment. On the silver dollar with the "wounds" I noticed It has them on its mouth and a white pastch developed on its body just forward of its tail. Looks like a white chalk mark. I also noticed on an angel the same wound looking things on its mouth and at the base of one fin just aft of its left gill. The things look the same on both of the fish. It appears that I have three fish with this condition. It hasn't affected their eating or activity in the tank. Any ideas?? Water conditions are ok and I did a 30% water change 4 days ago.

I don't know much about fish disease (Thank God my fish don't ever get sick...Knock on wood lol) but that sounds like ICH. It's probably ich but I'd recomend reading up on fish disease here.
Hope this helps!

Your three threads have been merged. It's best to stick to one thread per question.
Thanks
