Corydoras w/ ICH

Hello,

Hope you all are having a good weekend!

OK, I bought 3 Bronze Corys and a Powder Blue Gourmai on the 19th. Looked them over real good before I got them. So, I moved all the fish from my 20 gal into my 55 gal cause that was the plan anyways. I put the Corys and Gourmai in the 20 gal. I always do the soak bag in tank for about 15 minutes then after that I add a cup or less of water to the bag about every 10-15 minutes for an hour or a little more. They looked healthy at the time. But then yesterday ICH started to appear. My stupid heater wasn't workin right so it wouldnt raise the temp past 80! So got up this mornin and 1 cory has died and the Gourmai died yesterday. The other 2 Corys are covered now. So, I swapped heaters with the 10 gal and set it on 84. Will do a water change and gravel vac shortly. Should I get some ICH treatment or just raising the temp and w/c gravel vac do the ticket They are pretty covered. Any suggestions?

ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 10
Temp 84

Thank You in advance!

Theoretically well maintained temp above 84 will fasten the life cycle of parasite and kill free swimming larvae before finding host.
It will be your choice wether to med or not. Persoanlly will med. Have used Clout by Aq Products with great results for few decades, even with corys and clown loaches(make sure to dissolve Clout Tab before adding, small cup/lid and water and shake and of ourse no carbon in filter).
Be sure to leave the heater in saltwater for while before putting it back to 10G.

personally i would rather not medicate unless the higher temps don't work after two weeks or more.

That is the reason why I said theoretically. i have experienced where even at higher temp, infestation reoccured causing casulaties. I am not a big fan of using med, but when must, have med afer thorough evaluation (sometimes with assitance of hobby grade microsope, at least for parasites). For bacterial infection, could not afford Electron Microscope. lol!

No, I didn't med them! Lost another Cory this mornin. It was all my fault that this happend. I put them in and didnt think shortly after I did a water change....because I tested the water for ammonia and it read at 1.0 PPM. I don't know why but I have Prime and could've added that until the next day for them to be not stressed then do a w/c!! I've been havin ammonia probs in that tank and it's been drivin me nuts!!!

It now reads:
Ammonia .25
NitrItes 0
NitrAtes 10

It doesn't matter how many w/c changes I do, it is always at .25!!! Then goes up...... Finally added another bio-module pack to the filter a few days ago for more bacteria colonys to grow. The tank was overstocked but was waiting to move them over to the 55 gal. So that's prob why I was havin ammonia probs my established bacteria colony couldnt keep up. Workin on that now.....
