Success Story

I posted a thread here about a month ago about a sick pearl gourami. We removed the male who had fin rot to a hospital tank and treated him with jungle fungus clear for a week. He didn't eat the whole time and on day 7 he still had some dead fungus falling off of his body. So much cotton like fungus fell off it clogged our sink! BUT I am happy to report that he is recovering very well and here are some before and after pictures. Illness with pics White Film You can see in the link where he had the fungus. It ate that entire section away right up to his body. It looked like his fin had been surgically cut with a razor. The first pic is his girlfriend. The second picture is 3 weeks later. You can really notice how much weight the male lost wile he was sick from not eating. He used to be the same size as his girlfriend.

My girlfriend and I are pretty astounded how rapidly a fish can heal. His fin on the bottom there grows faster than I can grow a beard.

I'm glad I could share a nice recovery story with you guys. When he's fully recovered and as beautiful as he once was I will post a photo. He was the most beautiful pearl I have ever seen.
