fish dying

Emergency. Two plecos died (only plecos) I am a newbie. Bought a clown loach and rubber lips pleco three weeks ago. The clown loach, older smaller pleco died yesterday. Newer, slightly bigger pleco died today. We didn't know if the fish had ICH, velvet or something other so we put some treatment for ich and a separate treatment for velvet. Nothing on the box said don't do both.

We have tested the water and the pH, ammonia and all the other levels check out alright. We even took it into a pet store for further evaluation.

The fish were really lethargic before but now are swimming around like nuts. I noticed them going crazy since we added the treatment for ICH and velvet a few hours ago. Last night we noticed one of the tetras eyes were gone. Well, now an eye on one of the barbs is popping out. It looks like it is ready to fall out and I don't think he can see. He is also doing something really strange with his mouth. He is moving it a lot. It is almost like he can't breathe. I don't get it. It is going around like crazy bumping into everything. The other fish are not doing very well. The only fish that seems to be doing a little better is our Gourami - we call that one the "Godfather". Help! We want to save the fish. Our we making them worse by providing treatment??

What is it with the popping out eyes. Some of them do have the ich like stuff on them but it can also be velvet. It is very hard to see. I feel so bad. I had these other fish for a very long time. We got the tank from our neighbor who had them for a very long time (some fish 4 years). We introduced the two newer fish three weeks ago and I feel it is our fault we introduced some funky parasite into this former calm fish tank. I don't want them to suffer. They look like they are all suffering right now. When I go up to the fish tank they all face me and look like they are gasping for air. Could the treatment be hurting them or is it the parasite running it's funky course. COuld the treatment be working, causing them to act like this??

Help, someone out there right now? I can't even go in the living room right now without seeing them struggle.

Welcome to Fish Lore

I'm really sorry your fish are doing so poorly. I know it's hard to see them like this.

What kind and how many of each fish are in the tank?
What meds did you use to treat the ich and velvet?

Hi, Seams to me that the fish reacted once the meds were put in the tank
I can only think that a 70% water change now and adding carbon to the filter will help get the meds out.
Mixing meds is not a good idea unless you know what you are doing, and adding it to the main tank may have killed the bio filtration.
What size is the tank?
Do you have another tank you could use to put the fish in?
