"White spot" Babies born

Okay, new to the tank world!! My tank has white spot and have already lost a few fish...

Today, however, we found 4 baby Dalmation Mollys in the tank!!! What should I do? I was told by a GM of Pet*Co they have a 50/50 chance of being okay. However I don't have another tank to put them in...

Any idea's on saving my beautiful fish? Any help means a lot to my little one's!!!

Thanks!!

Do the spots look like grains of salt? If so it's probably ICH which can be fixed by increasing the temp slowly to 83-84F. Leave it there for at least 2 weeks. Increase aeration to make up for the lack of oxygen in warm water and vacuum the gravel really well to get rid of the spores.

I don't have experience with fry, so you might want to wait for other members who do to make sure they can with stand the increased temps.

Do you know the readings for the ammonia nitrites and nitrates?
Often times stress from an uncycled tank can bring on illness.
I notice you don't know about the nitrogen cycle here's an explanation of it:

I hope your babies feel better soon.

Thanks Lucy!!

Sadly we have lost another fish since I posted!! Yes, grains of salty matter seem to have covered thier body, gills, fins and all!! It's so sad!!!! Not sure how muchlonger the rest will last. The fry seem to be doing okay though right now! I don't know that much about running a tank...and plan on changing that!!

Mostly though, Iwanted to know if the fry could live in a bowl without a filter for a few days with as little of the ich water and fresh water mixed...

Will read up on the nitrogen cycle for the time being!!

Thanks again,
Candy

May use rectangular plastic container (LFS use these container to catch or put netted fish that you are purchasing) that hangs over the top of the tank to separate the baby if chose to med the tank. Make sure container is hung inside the tank to have same temp as the tank. Use gentle aeration to keep water inside the container aerated.
From my experiences, fry are more sensitive to Med. Iam sure fry can tolerate higher temp if done gradually but never have kept fry at that temp.
