Why do my neon tetra go on his back?

Hi every body i got a new fish yaaaaaaa.I am so happy to get a different fish.I got a 4 neon tetra.I not sure that am got to get more then this.I now i have to get tham in 15-20.
Question Why do my neon tetra go on his back?
I did not put them with my betta she will hurt tham.

I'm sorry you're little neon isn't doing well.

If I understand your post correctly, you've gotten 4 neons. One is on his back.
You need to get them into a 15-20g tank? Or did you think you had to get a school of 15-20 fish?

Neons aren't as hardy as they once were.
Did he seem ok at the store? His colors were bright and he was swimming normally?
They should be acclimated to the tank very slowly.....say over the course of an hour.
Is the tank heated? Are they any other tankmates?
It's possible he was already sickly and the stress of moving is too much for the little one.

Hi evrybody ....All of my neon fish dieI guess they had lots of stress.When i went for dinner and i came back they where all die. MY tank has every thing that the pet own said they will be fine.I look stuff up here.All of my hard work pay is gone.
Am go to give tham a nice funeral tomorrow .
