I recently got two barbs (one tiger one green) from Big Al's to replace one tiger i lost (it wouldn't eat, at all, not even the fresh frozen
brine shrimp i sunk and put right in front of her nose :*( ) and to increase their school to five from four.
I took my time introducing them (mixing the water and making sure the temp in the bag = temp in the tank) and less than 24 hours later the green barb was dead. We brought the fish back to the store and they gave us a credit, said it was probably just the stress because our water sample was in ideal range.
It's been a few days and now the other new tiger has white patches just in front of it's dorsal fin, it looks like the scales just flaked off. It has had them some patches for a few days, but i just assumed it was the other barbs establishing a pecking order. But now it has spread, and it doesn't look like
ICH.
It seems like it is this columnaris that Trio123 posted, so i know what you recommended treating it with, but my question is,
Should I treat the fish by separating him into my hospital tank or should I treat the main tank? (rem that the other fish have been exposed to him for a week now)
