All my fish are dead....

I did a 15% change 3 days ago, and this morning, I found all of my fish are dead, except for my 8 neon tetras.

They were all coated with a white scale, that flaked off of them when I used the tongs to retrieve their bodies....

They were all on the bottom, I even had to pull 2 loaches out from under their rock where they liked to hide....

I lost my 5 yoyo loaches, 4 Otos, 5 Guppies, and 1 Tiger Barb.... but the 8 neons were fine....

I had to leave for work, so couldn't do a water test, but the water was good before the change.... 0,0,10ppm for NH4, NO2, NO3....

I know I conditioned the new water, and the heater is working normally...

I've spent the last hour googling, but have not found anything....

Does anyone know what might have happened?

Thanks

Is there any chance that something may of fallen in the tank and poisoned them?? ( doesn't explain why the neons are ok tho) Neons are supossed to be very sensitive ( mine are tough little nuts) yet they live and all the rest don't...gee I have no idea . Did you just add anyone /thing to the tank in the last week or 2? The white scale thing could of been a fungus that grew after their death. Sorry I couldn't help.

Thanks for the reply... I didn't add anything new to the tank and there's nothing that could have spilled into it as there's nothing over the tank...

Has anything been added to the tank lately? That doesn't sound like anything that I recognize, but to loose so many so quickly does seem to point to some type of poisoning/toxins. What water conditioner do you use? Have you seen any signs of sickness in the neons? Do you see any white stuff in the filter box or on decor?

If you are on city water they might have changed the buffers in the water.
