Spots On Fins

My oscar has white spots on his side fins, can I add medicine to the water with all the other fish in it or should I remove my oscar to the hospital tank??
I can't think of the name of the medicine right now but it is a all in one type.

If you think its ICH, which looks like specs of salt, and the QT tank is big enough and cycled, you can put him in that and just turn up the temps to 83 for 2 weeks...do a gravel vac in the old tank but also turn up that to 83 for 2 weeks as ich pores go into the gravel as well...poor fella goodluck!

If he's showing Ich spots, then the tank has ich and you'll want to treat the whole tank. You really don't need meds to treat ich and if the meds have malachite green (victoria green) in them - don't use that.

The treatment for ich is to raise the temp to 83-84F and keep it there for 2 weeks. Do daily water changes of 25% (try to make the new water about the same temp.) and clean the substrate at least once a week.

Increase aeration in the tank to make up for the lower oxygen levels.
