Help yall....
my big fancy
goldfish Elvis is sick.
his tummy is bloated and he looks like he has dropsy, scales kinda pine cone looking. i know dropsy is just a symptom of something else, but i'm not sure what it could be. he doesn't have any injuries or any other symptoms of internal or external parasites. no cloudy or popping eyes, no red spots.
he's swimming slow and sluggish and kinda floating funny.
the water parameters are perfect we just did a 50%
water change day before yesterday. all the other fishies are fine.
i thought maybe some peas would help, i skinned em and cut em small. it was hard to get him to eat them, all the other fish were faster.
he's swimming so slow, i was able to cup him softly in my hand and hand feed him 3 little bites of peas.
i also added stress-X to the tank.
can anyone think of anything else i should do?
as far as other meds, we have
clout
pimafix
tetracycline
dimilin (just for anchor worms and no sign of them)
will any of these help.
i don't have any garlic guard or vita chem, should i give him some fresh garlic in addition to the peas.
i didn't feed the tank today as some got some stray peas before i hand fed Elvis.
any ideas would be helpful.
here's his pic, before he got sick...
