hello everyone........

i have a question:

i just started treating Fishee Love Me Do yesterday for fin rot.... when i got home today he kept flaring at me everytime i went to the tank. he's hiding behind his plants and is acting scared is this normal and hes just mad at me or is something not right?? im very worried and dont go near the tank so he dosent get stressed out. any ideas my friends??

Just a guess, but it's probably because he isn't feeling well.
I would talk to him from whatever distance it takes so he doesn't flare too much.

Prissy wasn't sick, but all of a sudden, for a few days she hid from my husband, we have no idea why and now she's back to greeting him.

I hope Fishee Love Me Do gets to feeling better soon.

Hmm.. what are you treating him with? Is he eating?

well...im using fungus cure by API..he has been eating but still hides. the only time he dosent is when i open the top to feed him.

thanks lucy...i have been talking to him in my Fishee voice...lol he will come to the glass...i wonder if the meds make them see different and he dosent recognize my shape...hmmmm something to google..lol

You might want to switch to Rid-Fungus if Fungus Cure is affecting him adversely. It's an organic, herbal med that's not harsh.

im happy to say that Fishee is back to his normal self!!! he comes right up to the tank when i came over he looks much better too... thanks for the help and ideas

I never saw this thread til now.... sorry! Glad to hear that Fishee is doing better. When you dose the meds, and it says to use a teaspoon, its a good idea to use the measuring set 'teaspoon', rather than using the spoons from our silverware, which I believe is a little bit bigger than an actual measured teaspoon.
The API Fungus Cure is supposed to be real good for them. Just keep following the directions on the bottle to the T. Changing 25% of the water before the next dose.. etc etc etc...
How is Timmy doing? any new photos of your lil guys to share? Id love to see them!
