| Fish swimming head down Hi,
She looks ok everyday and suddenly I notice she is swimming with her head down.
Should I worry? |

| It sounds like she has internal parasites. |

| I have the same problem with my Molly, except she swims head up.
COMPLETELY verticle.
My other molly did it for a while too, but he stopped.
I don't know what it is either?
Maybe a paracite like CoBetta said..? |

| Look at the local shops for something to treat internal parasites. I'm not sure what's available there, but i hear http://www.thereefshop.com.au/ has Aquazole. |

| Hi,
I think she has now got dropsy.
Her body has become bloated.
It looks like a pine cone shape from the top.
But I can' tell if her scales are protruding.
She is still swimming vertically with her head down but hangs near the surface of the water mostly. |

| That's a sign of an advanced case of parasites. Whatever treatment you can after a 50% water change is her best chance. |

| Thanks COBettaCouple.
Could it just be constipation? |

| Hi COBettaCouple,
she's still the same.
thanks for asking.
should I vent her?
I read it somewhere on the internet that venting helps to release the gas inside her. |

| Hi,
I didn't expect her to survive this long.
She is still hanging on.
I have been feeding her green peas & live worms.
She doesn't seem to be better but at the same she isn't worse.
I thought she had dropsy but then she would have gone to heaven by now. |

| Well you are doing all you can...I wouldn't vent a fish as I am not sure it would help and it would be painful for the fish. |

| Hey, sorry that I missed this thread and that you lost her. I think you did all that you could really, venting is something I don't know that I'd feel confident doing myself. |
