My male Kenyi cichlid, Roy, has been beat on a bit by my Mbuna (they're getting put into a bigger tank tomorrow, thank god. The levels read fine today, but I'm giving it another day), so I did a 30% water change in the 20 gallon, used the leftover water to jumpstart a cycle in the ten gallon, used the sponge filter from that so I'd have cycled media, and dechlorinated the rest of the water I put in.

He's been beat up a bit and his fins are torn up, but that's not the main problem.

He's been listless since yesterday, doesn't seem to be eating, and he's got a large, white, fuzzy spot on his tail where there seems to have been a wound previously. The infection is only in this one spot and none of the other fish are sick so I'm guessing it's not Ich?

I can try to get a picture up tonight... he's in pretty bad shape right now, and I was wondering if there was a certain product from drs foster & smith's website that I could have overnighted to me?


Edit: His gills, mouth, and eyes are fine. He's just got the spot on his tail, and he seems to be pretty badly wounded.

It sounds like fungus but might be columnaris. I'd give him Triple Sulfa and Rid-Fungus to treat those. Vita-Chem, Fish Protector and Garlic Guard would all also be good for helping him heal.
